SCTV is the largest Cable TV service provider in Vietnam with millions of subscribers. SCTV has been building a Television Theatre-Studio for various production TV types, such as: Music shows, Art performance shows, TV shows. The TV Theater will be equipped hundreds of audience seats. The end-user in SCTV expects a flexible solution for the lighting system so that they can do lighting control for many kinds of production in this studio. Finally, SCTV chose PELA and TVS to provide design/installation services as well as equipments for the lighting system. Solution for Rigging system: For the rigging system we chose solution of self-climbing frames with long bar hoists to get the most flexible method for the system. The frames will give operators more hanging points for fixtures as well as the easier way to shift any fixtures which they’re not able to do with individual long bar hoists. This rigging solution will help to reduce time for doing the focus of fixtures and helping operator to satisfy easily any requirements from lighting directors. VTV STUDIO S10 LIGHTING SYSTEM – 2005 VTV brought “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire” to Vietnam in 2005, this game show has been very famous for a long time. VTV decided to invest one new studio specialized for this game show and some others. TVS together with local contractor were chosen to provide the lighting system for this studio. This lighting system is designed in accordance to the VTV technical requirement and product selection criteria. They are suitable for Live Performance Show & Pre-Recorded Programs such as Musical Shows, Game Shows, Talk Shows, Dramas & others. Most importantly, the studio is designed for the production of the famous and favorite game show, “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire”. The Dimmer and Lighting Control Systems are State-Of-The-Art Systems, with the latest technology for Dimming and Control. The Tungsten Studio Luminaries are carefully selected from a “Family Range” type of products to minimize the quantity and types of spares to be kept. The entire system is planned with Ethernet base infrastructure. The Ethernet infrastructure allows future expansion with present capability to distribute and receive DMX signals. VTV S15 STUDIO’S LIGHTING SYSTEM – 2015 Studio 15 of VTV is one of the first audience studio of them where they’ve been recording many famous shows like “Duong Len Dinh Olympia”, “Chiec Non Ky Dieu” in many years. In 2015, VTV re-constructed the studio and called a tender to provide lighting system for the studio. TVS with local contractor won the tender. Studio S15 – VTV Vietnam The requirements for the system were the flexible rigging system, mixed tungsten and LED fixtures, dimmer system with ability power for both tungsten load as well as non-dim load, dynamic control system for all of lighting devices. The project has been fulfilled by Tu Le company together with TVS and strong support from Philips Entertainment. For the rigging, we chose the solution of combining cat walk with sliding lighting bar. The cat walk is used for lighting man doing focusing from the top. The sliding lighting bar system includes fixed long I-shaped rails which hang 3m lighting bars below. This design allows operator can slide any lighting bar along fixed bars from end-to-end of stage. Main fixtures are mounted under pantographs, these pantographs are mounted under wheel carriages which can move along.

Lighting system for Multi-purpose Studio S1 and News Studio of Cantho VTV – 2016 Cantho VTV is a branch of Vietnam Television located in Can Tho city, south of Viet nam. CVTV wanted to upgrade their existing lighting system of multi-purpose studio S1 and lighting system of news studio S4. For multi-purpose studio S1, we had the challenge of utilize the existing tungsten fixtures. The end user wanted us to integrate LED fixtures with tungsten fixture for various kind of programs. For news studio S4, we got the same challenge to mix LED fixture with tungsten fixtures and fluorescent fixtures. The challenges were not only color temperature mixing but also lighting control mixing, power supply mixing. TVS had been selected as the main SI to deploy the required systems for CVTV. We had co-operated with our world leading lighting supplier – Philips Entertainment to supply major parts of the systems. Beside that, we also modified the existing rigging system to adapt effectively various kind of programs from modern music shows to traditional art shows.
