Voice Of Vietnam – VOV Radio Station wanted to upgrade their outdoor production capacity with the latest technologies in Audio Over IP (AoIP) and Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT). VOV called a tender for purchasing a DSNG vehicle which able to be used for live radio production from field with various type of transmission to station. The transmission methods should be VSAT via satellite link, Internet or 3G/4G. This turn-key vehicle was highly requested for special features for high flexibility, high productive, quick onsite setup, high stability of live production and transmission with backup. TVS together with Turkey Hitachi Kokusai Electric were selected to provide this turn-key vehicle. We have worked closely with end user – VOV from designing phase until onsite commissioning/handover. The ToyotaTM Highlander LE was selected to make the base platform for the system. On the road for testing Ready for live production The interior of the vehicle was carefully designed and integrated to conform a comfortable working space for operators and journalists. The two back seats are rotatable, these seats will be used for two operators who facing the control racks. From there they can control antenna while tracking satellite link to establish the VSAT link.

SCTV is the largest Cable TV service provider in Vietnam with millions of subscribers. SCTV has been building a Television Theatre-Studio for various production TV types, such as: Music shows, Art performance shows, TV shows. The TV Theater will be equipped hundreds of audience seats. The end-user in SCTV expects a flexible solution for the lighting system so that they can do lighting control for many kinds of production in this studio. Finally, SCTV chose PELA and TVS to provide design/installation services as well as equipments for the lighting system. Solution for Rigging system: For the rigging system we chose solution of self-climbing frames with long bar hoists to get the most flexible method for the system. The frames will give operators more hanging points for fixtures as well as the easier way to shift any fixtures which they’re not able to do with individual long bar hoists. This rigging solution will help to reduce time for doing the focus of fixtures and helping operator to satisfy easily any requirements from lighting directors. HUE VTV OBVAN PROJECT – 2005 Hue VTV is a branch of Vietnam Television organization located in Hue city. Hue VTV was doing not only programs for VTV but also doing programs to broadcast locally. In 2005, Hue VTV wanted to purchase an OBVan with 4 camera systems and expandable in future. TVS was chosen as main SI to work with local contractor for this project. The challenges were limitation for budget so the Van must be converted locally to be OBVan. TVS worked closely with end user and local van factory to design the cabin of the van as well as interior layout. Hue VTV OBVan We provided Hitachi SK-888 camera systems with complete CCU and control system for the van. Hitachi SK-888 camera was the next generation of successful SK-777model, the camera system satisfy all out-door production requirement of Hue VTV and very stable and durable thanks to good tropicalization. Vinten Vision 11 tripod packages were chosen to use with SK-888 camera, these tripods can adapt very hard working conditions on the field. At the center of van’s production system, we put Rossvideo RVS-216D vision mixer system. This vision mixer system has 16 SD-SDI inputs and 15 selectable.

VTV STUDIO S10 LIGHTING SYSTEM – 2005 VTV brought “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire” to Vietnam in 2005, this game show has been very famous for a long time. VTV decided to invest one new studio specialized for this game show and some others. TVS together with local contractor were chosen to provide the lighting system for this studio. This lighting system is designed in accordance to the VTV technical requirement and product selection criteria. They are suitable for Live Performance Show & Pre-Recorded Programs such as Musical Shows, Game Shows, Talk Shows, Dramas & others. Most importantly, the studio is designed for the production of the famous and favorite game show, “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire”. The Dimmer and Lighting Control Systems are State-Of-The-Art Systems, with the latest technology for Dimming and Control. The Tungsten Studio Luminaries are carefully selected from a “Family Range” type of products to minimize the quantity and types of spares to be kept. The entire system is planned with Ethernet base infrastructure. The Ethernet infrastructure allows future expansion with present capability to distribute and receive DMX signals. This is a proven Ethernet System for Lighting Industry as the system has been installed.

DALET GALAXY RADIO SYSTEM OF VOV – 2014 Voice Of Vietnam – VOV is the nation radio broadcaster who covers all regions of Vietnam and oversea. VOV is the very first broadcast organization apply information technology to their radio system from production to play-out content. After more than a decade of usage, the existing radio system was out of date and the upgrading was not efficient at all, VOV decided to purchase new radio system with the latest technology for both software and hardware. Dalet has been very famous company who initial provided IT based radio solutions to many radio broadcasters around the world. VOV had used Dalet 5.1E system for over 10 years and they put their trust in Dalet. In 2013, VOV purchased new radio system from Dalet and TVS was chosen as the local SI for overall system. The challenges were: – Integration with existing Dalet 5.1E system which run on old OS and database technology. The new Galaxy Radio system with latest OS, database architecture, backup method should be integrated smoothly with Dalet 5.1E in at least first year. – Integration with existing Netia radio system which got the same issue relative to OS and database.
